Russian-born painter who has made UK her home, Christina is inspired by light, nature and botanical themes. She paints with bold, feathery and dense brushstrokes to capture the momentary effects of sunlight, the movement and the atmosphere.
‘’I like rich symbolism of the flowers when depending on the context, a single flower can represent reproduction and decay, promiscuity or purity, hardship or love or just a gorgeous pile of petals. I often follow my own interpretation when I paint as it gives me freedom to create my own aesthetics and capture real emotion on my canvases.’’
